1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Sambalo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Who may use Sambalo

You must be legally able to accept these Terms under your local law. If you use Sambalo for a household, team, or organization, you confirm you have authority to do so.

3. Service scope

Sambalo is an offline-first app. Core planning features run locally on your device and do not require account creation or login.

4. Free and premium access

• Free: offline usage with ads.
• Monthly/Yearly premium: ad-free app experience.
• Lifetime premium: ad-free plus encrypted backup export/import with attachments.

Feature availability may vary by platform version, device compatibility, and regional store support.

5. Purchases, billing, and renewals

Purchases are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play (or their authorized billing systems). Pricing, taxes, and billing terms are shown before purchase.

• Monthly and yearly plans may auto-renew unless canceled before renewal.
• Lifetime is a one-time non-consumable purchase.
• Refunds, cancellations, and payment disputes are handled by the platform where the purchase was made.
• We may validate purchase entitlements to enforce premium access.

6. Device and backup responsibility

You are responsible for device security and safe storage of your backup passphrase. Losing your passphrase may make encrypted backups unreadable.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Sambalo to:

• Break laws, regulations, or court orders.
• Distribute malicious software or interfere with app operation.
• Harass, threaten, exploit, or harm others.
• Upload or distribute content you do not have rights to use.
• Attempt unauthorized access or security bypass.

8. Intellectual property

Sambalo software, branding, and related materials are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app under these Terms.

9. User content

You retain ownership of content you create in Sambalo. You grant us only the limited rights needed to provide purchases, diagnostics, support, and related operations.

10. Service changes and availability

We may modify, improve, or discontinue features over time. We do not guarantee that all features are always available in every region or on every device.

11. Disclaimers

Sambalo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sambalo and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sambalo and its operators from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the app or breach of these Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using Sambalo at any time. We may limit or terminate access where needed to protect users, enforce these Terms, or comply with legal obligations.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws in your jurisdiction and, where enforceable, the laws of Victoria, Australia, excluding conflict-of-law rules.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms over time. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
