1. Overview

Sambalo is an offline-first app. Core usage does not require account creation or login. This policy explains what data is handled on-device and what data may be processed by platform services used for billing, ads, diagnostics, and support.

2. No in-app account requirement

Sambalo currently does not require users to create or sign in to an in-app account. Your local app data is tied to your device unless you choose to export and restore a backup file.

3. Data stored on your device

Your content (for example notes, tasks, shopping lists, travel plans, expenses, documents, and settings) is stored locally on your device.

Core planning data is not automatically uploaded to Sambalo servers.
You can remove local data from the app settings or by uninstalling the app.

4. Purchases and subscription data

In-app purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. We use RevenueCat to validate entitlement status (for example ad-free access and lifetime backup access) and to support purchase restore flows.

Purchase history and entitlement metadata may be processed by store/payment partners.
Sambalo does not store your full card details.

5. Advertising data

The free tier may show ads using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Paid users with ad-free access do not see these ads.

Ad providers may process device identifiers and ad-related diagnostics.
Ad provider processing is governed by their own privacy terms.

6. Diagnostics and crash reporting

If enabled in our app configuration, we may use diagnostics tooling (such as Sentry) to capture crash and performance information for stability and support.

We configure diagnostics to limit personal data collection where possible.
Diagnostics data is used for debugging, reliability, and abuse prevention.

7. Encrypted backups

Lifetime includes encrypted backup export/import. Backups use a passphrase that you set. If you choose to include attachments, those files are included in the encrypted backup package.

You are responsible for storing your passphrase safely.
We cannot recover backup contents if your passphrase is lost.

8. Website analytics

Our website may use analytics tools (including Google Analytics) to understand site usage and improve content. This can include page views, approximate location, browser, and referral data.

9. Service providers

Depending on how you use Sambalo, third-party providers may process data for:

In-app purchases and entitlement management.
Ad delivery and measurement.
Crash reporting and diagnostics.
Website analytics.

10. Data retention and deletion

Local planning data stays on your device until you delete it.
Purchase and billing records are retained by the relevant app store/payment provider.
Diagnostics and analytics retention follow provider-specific retention settings.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

12. Children

Sambalo is not directed to children under 13 (or higher where required by local law). Contact us if you believe personal information was provided unlawfully.

13. Your rights

Depending on local law, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information processed by Sambalo. Contact us at support@sambalo.com.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy over time. Material updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
